Discovering seaweed in Brignogan

Start your immersion in the marine world with an original and enriching experience: an introduction to seaweed in Brignogan, supervised by the enthusiasts of the Musée des Coquillages. Since 2010, Doctor Bernard Jaffrès, Philippe Briand, Hubert Grall and volunteers from the Brigoudou association have organized several annual outings dedicated to the discovery of seaweed.

On the program for these captivating strolls:

• An introduction to algae and their diversity,
• Identification of the main edible species,
• Good picking practices,
• Simple tips for preserving seaweed,
• And cooking demonstrations to learn how to cook them easily and deliciously.

After a harvest on the foreshore, followed by a tasty tasting, the afternoon concludes with a visit to the Musée du coquillage et des animaux marins (total duration: 4h30). A perfect activity for nature lovers and those curious about the marine world.
